Flaky Pot Pie Crust
  1. 3 cups all-purpose flour
  2. 3/4 teaspoon salt
  3. 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
  4. 1 1/4 cups chilled butter, cut into 1/8-inch pieces
  5. 1/2 cup ice water
  1. In a large bowl, stir together flour, salt, and baking powder. Using a pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in butter until it forms pea-size crumbs.
  2. Stir ice water into flour mixture. Knead 10 times or until dough comes together. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm. Use as directed in recipe for Individual Chicken Pot Pies.
