Paula's living room combines colors, class, and comfort to make a room that's ideal for entertaining and relaxing.

When designing the room, I imagined it full of Paula's big family, in addition to her three dogs! It needed to be the kind of family room that could entertain ten people as easily as two.

The overall feel of the living room is inviting Southern charm and comfort. Paula spends so much time traveling, she needed a cozy room for relaxing. The room is connected to the kitchen by a wide doorway and two tall windows. This makes the space ideal for entertaining a big group as well as a more intimate gathering.

The living room has three sets of French doors that lead out onto the back porch, so the designer wanted to have a warm transition between the outdoors and indoors. The moss green hue of the antique linen velvet sofa brings in the green from the outdoors. The small tea table in the background is an antique.
